Little Green Radicals

Little Green Radicals Logo

My Fair Baby absolutely loves the entire range of Little Green Radicals made from 100% fairtrade organic cotton. Based in London, Little Green Radicals was started in 2005 by a group of forward thinkers who are passionate about fairtrade and the environment. The company founder, Nick Pecorelli, had the vision to bring fairtrade into mainstream with bright, fun and gorgeous range of baby clothing made using 100% fairtrade organic cotton. Little Green Radicals was one of the pioneer companies in the UK to receive the fairtrade certification. They ensure their partner producer in India ethically makes every piece of clothing they design.

In 2014, Little Green Radicals Junior Award LogoLittle Green Radicals won the Best Children’s Eco Fashion Brand in the prestigious UK Junior Design Awards. The judges commented, “All Little Green Radicals pieces are designed with children in mind and always made from the softest 100% organic Fairtrade cotton which can be passed down again and again.”

Why buy Fairtrade?

Little Green Radials have always used 100% Fairtrade cotton from their early days of making baby playsuits and T-Shirts back in 2005.

Buying products made from Fairtrade cotton ensures that the cotton farmers receive a fair and stable price for their cotton giving them and their families security and stability. Through Fairtrade, thousands of cotton farmers have already improved their lives. Cotton co-operatives have become better organised and women are receiving the same treatment as men, from voting rights to equal pay.

The Fairtrade mark means that farmers that meet the Fairtrade social, economic and environmental standards have produced the cotton in our products.  These standards include protection of workers’ rights and the environment, payment of the Fairtrade Minimum Price and an additional Fairtrade Premium, which always has to be invested back in community projects.

Why use organic cotton?

100% Organic Fairtrade Cotton

Organic cotton is a natural fibre, which is much softer than conventional cotton. Harsh chemicals and pesticides are because the fibres have not broken this down. Using organic cotton benefits both cotton producers and the environment by avoiding these harmful chemicals. Plus non-organic cotton is a huge source of environmental pollution and uses thousands of chemicals, which ends up in the very fabric that we put right next to our skin every day.

When you buy a Little Green Radicals piece you will always be buying an organic product where no harmful chemicals such as chlorine bleach, formaldehyde or dangerous dyes are used. This means our clothes are softer and better for babies and kids particularly those with allergies or eczema. Finally because our cotton has not been broken down with chemicals, our clothing will last much longer and always wash incredibly well.
